Pre-sue Report

Taking legal action on an individual or company that owes you money can be a costly and time-consuming process. A Pre-Sue Report provides information on the financial position of the other party to assist in deciding if further action is to be taken.

Financial Status Report

The Pre-sue Report or Financial Status Report provides basic financial information on the company or person, including:

  • Bankruptcy
  • Company Winding up
  • County Court Judgments
  • Directorships
  • Property and asset ownership

For individuals, it will also include:

  • Residential status (home owner or tenant)
  • Address check
  • Employment status
  • IVA
  • Lifestyle check

Where multiple parties are involved the pre-sue report assists in determining which party is in the stronger financial position.

Benefits of Pre-sue Reports

Taking action against a debtor costs management time and company money. The pre-sue report provides you with financial information on the other party to enable you to make a decision on whether it is worthwhile to progress legal action.

There is a difference between can’t pay and won’t pay. The Pre-sue report helps you to determine which you are dealing with.
